IPM were approached by the Future Hospital Team to relocate three teams, each with different requirements, to a fit for purpose office facility.
The main challenge of this short project was to provide users with the functionality of a full office fit-out with minimal works to the building. This was of paramount importance due to the short occupation period of the office. IPM worked with the client teams to develop a comprehensive statement of requirements which included developing the concept of a flexible and open space to support the team's identified workstyles.
Working closely with the architects, IPM facilitated a design based on a full furniture solution which provided workstations, meeting and collaboration areas, break out spaces and meeting pods. IPM also undertook the furniture selection and procurement process with close attention to the requirements of the individual teams demanded by a shared space environment.
The IT infrastructure and networks required updating, however existing hardware was redeployed and used in most instances. IPM coordinated the migration from three locations with minimal downtime.
The ethos of this project was to ensure that all items installed in the office space could be relocated to another building in the future, without negatively impacting the usability and ensuring genuine value for money.
The outcome has been a floor area that offers a modern and adaptable solution which meets the specific requirements of the occupying teams whilst providing a re-deployable and long life furniture solution.
"We are very pleased with the solution that IPM developed to satisfy the brief set by Jersey Property Holdings to provide flexible office space encouraging collaborative working. This was achieved within the allocated timescale and budget" - David Ahier, Future Hospital Team
